1. About these terms

These terms apply when you access or use the WattleFolio software service operated by . They apply together with the Privacy Policy and any mandatory rights you have under Australian law. Questions can be sent to .

2. What WattleFolio is

WattleFolio is self-directed household budgeting, record-keeping and scenario-modelling software. It lets users enter financial information, organise records, choose assumptions and view calculations or projections based on those inputs.

WattleFolio does not provide personal financial, investment, tax, legal, credit or property advice and does not recommend financial products or tell you what action to take. Outputs are estimates and may be incomplete, simplified or affected by inaccurate or outdated user inputs.

3. Your responsibility for inputs and decisions

You are responsible for the accuracy of information and assumptions entered into the software and for deciding whether an output is relevant to your circumstances. Material financial, investment, tax, lending or property decisions should be checked independently and, where appropriate, with a suitably qualified professional.

4. Subscription

The launch WattleFolio Household plan is A$4.99 per month. It renews monthly until cancelled. The plan covers one household workspace for the subscribing adult and one invited adult partner. Before completing checkout, review the recurring price displayed by Stripe. If it differs unexpectedly from this page, do not complete payment and contact WattleFolio so the discrepancy can be checked.

Stripe processes subscription payments. WattleFolio does not need to store your full card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy information also apply to its payment service.

5. Renewal and cancellation

Your subscription automatically renews each month until cancelled. The subscribing adult can cancel through the Stripe-hosted billing portal. Unless a different outcome is required by law or displayed at cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid billing period and no further renewal is charged.

Cancellation does not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights.

6. Refunds and consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Refund requests are assessed consistently with those rights and any additional refund policy displayed at the time of purchase.

7. Household access

The subscriber may invite one adult partner to the same household workspace. Each person must use their own account credentials and multi-factor authentication. You must not share passwords or authenticator codes. The subscriber is responsible for inviting only a person who is genuinely part of the same household and is authorised to view the household information.

8. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to bypass access controls, access another household, interfere with service security, upload malicious content, scrape the service at unreasonable scale, reverse engineer protected service components where prohibited by law, or use WattleFolio for unlawful activity.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Features may be corrected, improved, replaced or retired. Material changes affecting subscriptions or personal-information handling will be communicated where required.

10. Data, exports and account deletion

You retain responsibility for the financial information you enter. WattleFolio provides export tools for your own records. Account deletion is available from Settings subject to security checks and protection of another household member's data. Retention and deletion details are described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Third-party services

WattleFolio relies on service providers including Cloudflare, Supabase, Stripe and optional Microsoft services. Their availability and processing are subject to their own services, terms and technical limitations.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, WattleFolio is not responsible for losses caused by decisions made solely from estimates or projections, inaccurate user inputs, third-party outages, or use of the software outside its intended self-directed planning purpose. This clause does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

Terms may be updated as the product changes. Material changes will be versioned and, where appropriate, notified before they take effect. Continued use after an effective change may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms, billing or the service can be sent to .

These product terms are a launch draft and should be reviewed for the final operating entity, ABN, billing practices and applicable Australian consumer-law requirements before broad public launch.
